Money is doing the talking in our nation's politics, and we can't do anything about it even when a substantial amount of that money is coming from the tax payer.

It seems big time politicians find it easy to talk about the huge negative influence big money has on our political system; but it is apparent they haven't the real desire to do anything about it.

Money equals speech - that's the new refrain of the political class. If you have the money you can raise the volume of your voice to unimaginable levels, and all kinds of (corporate) folks will smile and tell you what a wonderful person you are.

I'm not opposed to somebody having a lot more wealth then me, but I am obdurately opposed to sinking our nation just to save that wealth.

According to the Pew Research Center people of all political flavors and skin color are waking up to the reality of a society based upon an unhealthy wealth and income distribution.
